Junior Varsity wins State Championship!
Team Ohio High School (JV) capped off an incredible season (25-14-2 overall) with a JV State Championship after defeating the Canton-Akron Jets, 6-2, in the finals of the Battle of the Interstate Tournament.
Success didn't come easy or early for this group who struggled to find their way through most of December, however, it was a tough loss to the Northeast Storm on January 5th that was the catalyst for change. Head Coach, Nick Muha, called the, 4-1, loss to the storm a real wake up call for the boys; "we just didn't have it and like in many of our losses early in the season we only played a period or two," said Muha. "We told the boys they needed to own it and be accountable to each other," added Muha and the message was received. In the final 6 weeks of the season the JV icers posted a 14-3-1 mark including winning all five games in the Battle of the Interstate.
Congrats to TOHS JV Coaches (Nick Muha, Jack Henry Muha, Ellis Langermeier) and their players.
Job well done.
